Leavers' assembly prep is well under way...
Mrs Law and I are looking forward to a fantastic (and busy) year in Y6.
Our topics over the next year will be:
Autumn 1: A comparison of the UK and France
Autumn 2: Space
Spring 1: A local study of Caistor (with the help of Bishop Grosseteste University)
Spring 2: Biomes
Summer 1: Focus on SATs (and lots of sport)
Summer 2: Ancient civilisations
We will be working closely with Oak class and Mrs Reddish, and Maple and Mr McCann this year. We've got lots of ideas and plans for the year 5 and 6 children.
Our PE days are: Tuesday and Thursday. Please ensure that children have their kit in school at all times.
Homework: set on a Friday and due the following Wednesday, unless stated otherwise.
If you ever need to talk to me, I am in school most days. Mrs Friend and Mrs Jacklin will be more than happy to see if I am available or to make an appointment for you. If you need to contact me my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also contact me via Class Dojo.
The Scarecrow's (Royal) Wedding - Caistor in Bloom Open Gardens and Scarecrow Trail
Each class was asked to make a scarecrow for the scarecrow trail this weekend (June 24th/25th). Our school decided to base the ideas for our scarecrows around the Julia Donaldson book 'The Scarecrow's Wedding' but with a Royal twist! A big thank you to the 6 children who helped.
So, without further delay, meet:
Sir Jonathan Strawbottom III!
