Mrs Law and I are looking forward to a fantastic (and busy) year in Y6.

Our project for this term is...

"What Will Be Our Legacy?"

We will be looking at our influence on the world around us and what we want to leave behind - both in school and on the planet. As a part of this, we will be looking at what we can do to improve the global issue of 'plastic in our oceans'. This will involve us writing letters and investigating persuasive writing techniques.

As part of our transition into secondary school, we will be looking at the impact we have had on Caistor Primary in our time here and creating a sculpture to leave behind along with a time capsule. We will also be revamping some of the outside areas around school.

We've got lots of interesting things planned, so look out for letters!

Our PE days are Tuesday and Thursday. It is essential your child has their PE kit in school on these days but is helpful to try and ensure that your child has their kit in school at all times.

Homework: set on a Friday and due the following Wednesday, unless stated otherwise. Children will record their homework in their homework books.

Reading records: should be signed at least three times a week, by an adult.

If you ever need to talk to me, I am in school most days. Mrs Friend and Mrs Colebrook will be more than happy to see if I am available or to make an appointment for you. If you need to contact me my email address is laura.shaw@caistorprimary.co.uk. You can also contact me via Class Dojo.
