Welcome to Beech Class!

We are a Year 4/5 class and our teacher is Mrs Skelton. We have support from Mrs Law and Miss Langmaid.

Learning in Beech Class:

Our topic for  this term is Migration

This term we will learn all about Migration from both a geographical and historical standpoint.  We will learn about the Windrush Generation and about the countries these migrants came from, and also consider modern day migration and the different push and pull factors.  Art and DT will also tie into our topic as we will complete an artist fact file on both Olga Shvartsur and Richard Symmonds.  In DT, we will cook some delicious Caribbean food.  We will also read The Boy at the Back of the Class and Journey to the River Sea, both of which are about migration.  These books will be the focus of our writing and reading for the term.
