What is going on in our Reading Calendar?
Reading Certificates
Make sure you are reading at least 4 times a week, and pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, to earn 'Reading Pride Certificates' from your teacher.
If you read more than 4 times, even better
Make sure to get your reads signed by an adult at home, or at school, even if you read independently.
You can receive reading certificates for all sorts of reasons, whatever you have done linked to reading that makes your teacher proud.
Tom Palmer Author Session
Year 3 and 4 enjoyed an online reading workshop with Tom Palmer, who talked about his writing process and even introduced us to his dog!
World Book Day 2025
On Friday 6th March, we celebrated our world book day for 'read your way'. All staff and pupils made a huge effort and Mrs Boyer and Mr Paul won best dressed teachers in our vote by the children. We had some lovely class reading sessions, designed our own bookmarks and some classes completed reading rivers, showing books they have enjoyed.
Parent drop in sessions...
Very soon your child's class teacher will be inviting you in to read with your child during a parent drop in session. Each session will be themed so you can enjoy reading with your child. We hope as many of you can attend as possible!
