Life in Olive Hub

Learning

In Olive Hub we learn in fun, practical ways. Our phonics sessions are broken down into four 15 minute sections with breaks built in to allow for movement and brain breaks. We follow the structure and methods Read, Write, Inc but adapt it to the needs of the children when necessary. 

Maths is taught in a practical way and we are currently focusing on place value objectives. 

Science, RE, PSHE, Music, Art and DT and PE are all taught on a weekly basis. 

We keep our key texts, which are linked to both the values and curriculum topics, as a focus for two weeks.
