The West Wold Federation of Schools
The West Wold Federation of Schools came into being on 1st January 2017. It comprises Caistor Church of England and Methodist Primary School and Grasby All Saints Church of England Primary School. The two schools are only 3 miles apart and are at the heart of their respective communities.
For some years prior to federation, both schools worked closely together as they shared common aims. The formation of the West Wold Federation cements that co-operation and allows the schools to move forward and offer local children the very best in primary education.
The two schools share an Executive Head Teacher, a Deputy Head Teacher and SENDco and a School Business Manager. Both schools benefit from the expertise, experience and diverse interests that all members of staff bring to the Federation and they are able to share their best practice with each other as well as benefit from joint training.
Children from both schools can share experiences with each other through curriculum projects, educational visits and residential trips.
The schools also have one Governing Body which is made up of people associated with each of the schools and the communities which they serve. They are responsible for holding the school management to account and for providing the framework in which children from both schools have the best possible facilities to support their learning.
Most importantly each of the schools retains its own distinctiveness and ethos, which allows children to develop a passion for lifelong learning in a safe and caring environment. At the same time we have the highest expectations of children and staff to ensure that every child achieves their potential.
